Barbara gives candid and engaging talks related to her 15 years as a consultant and her many experiences
as a daughter caring for her elderly parents living in two different health care districts. She speaks about the realities of the unexpected
and how and why she became fully committed as a seniors’ advocate. Talks are tailored to the needs of specific audiences.
Barb Kirby, CPCA, is an Advocate, Consultant, and Navigator trained with the American Association of Dementia Practitioners
and Seniors Services Society for housing . She has a Certificate in Values-Based Leadership from Royal Roads University
and certificates in Advocacy and Seniors Residential Care with PovNet. Barb has 15 years’ experience as a family caregiver
and chaired family council in residential care for 7 years and chaired Advocates for Care Reform.
